There are a few sites around that can help you become a little smarter like Lumoisty which is the most well know site for this sort of thing and even a few apps like Brain Games for Android devices. But there are others sites that offer the same thing and may even do it differently or you could just spend your whole days reading books, which is not all that bad either if you have the time.
Give High IQ Pro a shot! Its not all that bad and it's fairly easy to use even for a dummy like me, they even work on PC and Mac systems, and the software can even be used offline.

It's not much but for someone who is between jobs and unemployment is about to run out it can put a little gas in the truck or a couple meals on the table.
